20 things you didnt know about me
Thanks for the tag Trinimamabebe!
So here's 20 things I'm almost certain you don't know about me:
I'm on husband number two! This is my second marriage, Alan and I will celebrate our seventh wedding anniversary this September.
I'll do pretty much anything for charity - including dressing up as Malibu Barbie and singing on stage for Wateraid!
I'm a vegetarian and have been for 14 years, but my boys and hubby aren't vegetarians.
I used to love walking up big hills/mountains - not been able to do it for a while due to ill health and having children.
When I was 19 I gained my rugby referee certificate.
I've had a lot of varied jobs, but the most random has been icing Christmas cookies for Marks and Spencer.
I've got five tattoos (a rose, butterflies, Chinese symbol, Celtic symbol, and an infinity knot).
I love horses! I used to ride many years ago - I'm finally going to get to have a go at carriage driving (birthday present from my hubby and boys).
I learnt to knit in January - I've knitted a few bits and pieces and I'm currently working on a scarf (I'm quite slow so it seems to be taking forever!).
We didn't do a traditional first dance at our wedding.
I used to do Rock and Roll dancing - both hubby and I went to lessons when we first started dating.
I used to run 5k and 10k races for Race for Life - I was never very fast, but I got over the finish line which was the main thing.
Both my boys were born on the 13th day of the month (13 September and 13 October) and there's exactly a 13 month age gap between them - 13 must be our lucky number!
I've got six piercings! Two in each ear lobe, one at the top of my ear and also my nose - I didn't get my nose pierced until last year!
I've got my own wood! Well actually I haven't, but there is a wood called 'Hayley Wood'.
I'm really impatient - once I've decided I'm doing something, I'm doing it - that included finding out what sex babies we were having, I'd already decided I was going for an early scan with both!
I love quotes - so life quotes, funny quotes, sentimental quotes - I've even got a quote board on Pinterest.
I didn't pass my driving test until I was 25, and it was my fourth attempt!
I'm willing to give anything a go - from getting up doing the cha cha slide to taking a lump hammer and chisel to a brick fireplace!
I was once on the local radio for doing 'the play what I wrote' - think I was about 14 and I remember being really nervous!
Hope you enjoyed reading!
